Alesso, Nate Smith – “I Like It”
It’s pretty original, an EDM dance hit crossed over with country. And it gives me a nice dose of early 2010’s nostalgia, when EDM was at it’s creative peak and Alesso was a big part of that. This could and should become a huge hit.
Dua Lipa – “French Exit”
Exceptional track off Dua Lipa’s new album Radical Optimism.
Katy Perry Flop is Another Sign of New Era of Music Industry
I’m not surprised by this. I’m not a fan, her music is generic and cheesy. She did have a few big radio hits in her prime. But her new single released a few days ago is not getting a good response at all. And it’s not looking like it’s even gonna hit 10 million streams in it’s first week. That’s not good for a pop superstar. Like Jennifer Lopez, she’s basically getting exposed as passé. People just aren’t interested in an overexposed artist whose music lacks great quality and substance anymore.
Bebe Rexha – “I’m The Drama”
Leigh-Anne – “Nature”
This new single, “Nature” by Leigh-Anne, might be the best pop single I’ve heard all year. It’s reggae-pop, perfect for summer.
Normani – “All Yours”
Tate McRae – “think later”
FLO – “Caught Up”
Purple Disco Machine, Benjamin Ingrosso feat. Nile Rodgers & Shenseea – “Honey Boy”
This is an undeniable disco-inspired feel-good summer dance-pop hit. I rate Shenseea highly and I’m hoping this helps breaks through with the monster numbers to put her in that top-tier of streaming popularity.
