I haven’t heard a great catchy pop hit in a couple months, so I branched out to France’s new music releases to keep hunting for one worth posting and heard this gem. Love the high fashion vibe of this song. Reminds me of that early ’10s global electro pop sound. Super chic. Fun video too. We hear a lot of Spanish and Korean pop music in the mainstream now (and I’ve even posted a few), so why not a bit more French?!
Track Of The Week
John Summit, Feid – “CHICA 305”
I was debating whether to post this, because it’s so similar to a huge song he released a few years ago. But you know what, I have to admit, this is even better.
Che Ecru – “Imagine”
Interesting track. Indie R&B with Indie Pop sensibilities, or something like that.
Ebubé – “A Mile In My Mind”
A run of good new Indie R&B in this week’s new releases capped off by this track by Ebubé, an impressive voice to keep an eye out for.
Shenseea, Vybz Kartel, Rvssian – “Talk To Me Nuh”
Look out for this song, and this specific style of Dancehall, Shatta, to become huge.
Essosa – “Touch bby”
My favorite R&B track of the year so far.
Micah Dailey-White – “Stacy”
What a pleasant surprise. Nice modern 80’s style synth-pop vibe that’s actually one of the more impressive new songs of the year so far.
Don Toliver – “ATM”
Just yet another dope single from Don Toliver. Has his music ever disappointed?
Tyla – “Chanel”
Bassline goes crazy. People think Tyla’s falling off because her last EP numbers weren’t good on the Billboard charts. But that’s outdated. She still has over 28 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone 😬.
Mabel – “Right On Time”
Mabel don’t miss. Every thing she puts out is high quality. I’ve seen her evolve since her debut 10 years ago into one of the best Pop/R&B artists in the entire music industry.
